The rain today is causing problems with the SQM enclosure. In setting this up I used a screen like piece on the bottom of the PVC for venting. It is now clear that I need to keep the container air tight, since my viewing hole has already fogged up. To fic this problem I’m going to add a screw on bottom to the enclosure.This also reminds me that I need to get some foam sealing spray to seal the service entry for the grey electrical box housing the router and power strip since moisture and humidity will enter that opening too.

All systems are working properly with the weather station. The indoor console is now collecting data and the HauteWind device is pushing it to the internet. Tested the SQM Reader Pro software and now have that back online and sending data to the website. Webcam is operational and sending still photos via FTP to the WU servers. I can now view updates on the website. Also, the webcam is streaming live again to the VSOR website. I have yet to find a proper clear enclosure for the webcam housing and at this point I have simply mounted the camera without one. It’s raining today, hopefully the wind doesn’t pick up!

The Davis Vantage Pro2 Wireless is now back online. I had to remove it from the deck for staining. I have completed the integrated housing for the SQM-LE and the Linksys WCV54GCA webcam. Will test router and network connections later today.

Secured a Clear Sky Chart today for VSOR Observatory.

Setup the VSOR-WXCAM1 weather camera to FTP still photos to my KMAWALTH8 page at Weatherunderground. The Linksys WVC54CGA camera version 1.2 firmware has a password bug which caused the FTP to fail. I flashed with the old firmware version 1.0 and it now saves passwords. FTP upload test now works.

WIZNET Serial to Ethernet board arrived today. Setup was easy, now I need to find an enclosure for it.

Mount is completed. Took 12 hours from concept to final product, along with a few trips to Home Depot.

Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus arrived today. Hardware and console are communicating. Got the HauteSpot IXPWINDi Wireless Weather Station up and running, and data is being sent to WU. Working out some issues with the wifi connection. Will build a mount for the Pro2 tomorrow.

Received and tested the SQM-LE Sky Quality Meter from Unihedron today. Everything is in working order. Will start work on a weatherproof housing soon.

Installed WordPress and downloaded several themes and plugins. DNS propagation went smoothly.
